  • CNC Machinist II

    Position Summary

    Sets up, checks programs and operates CNC machining equipment to perform a series of progressive machining operations to meet precise tolerance and finish requirements per customer or catalog specifications.  Loads parts in machine, cycles machine, detects malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools. This position is an entry level CNC Machinist position.  

    Principle Responsibilities

    • Understands program format, works from operational data, defining and coding tooling, fixture, and machine arrangements.

    Responsible for managing assigned supplier base and meeting or exceeding documented performance goals including delivery, quality, inventory turns and cost reduction targets.

    Principle Responsibilities

    • Locate, qualify and integrate suppliers into operations. 
    • Conducts supplier site visits as required including domestic and international travel. 
    • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure highest quality, lowest cost, competitive lead time, and minimal inventory investment.

    Responsible for the administration of the company’s quality management system and all process improvement efforts across the organization.

    Principle Responsibilities
    • Understand quality standards and concepts, implement organizational assessments and maintain customer satisfaction and focus.

    Responsible for realizing the mold base quotation lifecycle process. The process includes clarifying request for quotes with customers and/or the sales organization, developing within quote work flow process, communicating, and archiving completed quotes with related documentation.

    Hands-on position providing leadership and direction in all Safety-related situations and subject matter for PCS Company.

    Principal Responsibilities

    • Must demonstrate an enthusiastic, hands-on approach to Safety improvement in all PCS Company facilities with a sense of urgency. This includes developing relationships necessary to achieve rapid results as it relates to incident prevention and investigation. Also includes the ability to be a change agent, appropriately confronting unsafe situations and resolving them.
    • Must demonstrate the organizational and follow-up skills necessary to achieve effective results in multiple facilities, achieving completion on all past corrective actions and plans for future improvements.
    • Must demonstrate the ability to develop and implement programs and activities necessary to prevent injuries. This includes development and implementation of required training.
    • Act as liaison with medical providers in worker’s compensation claims management to ensure timely employee return-to-work under provisions of Company’s RTW policy.
    • Knowledge of worker’s comp claims management a must.
    • Act as the lead investigator for each and every accident/incident and near miss situations that occurs at PCS Company facilities. Working with on-site Safety Coordinators when accidents occur at their facilities where applicable. For all incidents (Near Misses and Recordable Injuries), works with the management team to conduct Root Cause Analysis, develop counter-measures, and follows up to ensure that all counter-measures are implemented and all required training is completed. Also responsible for required communication related to incidents.
    • Collaborate and supports Human Resources functions.

    • Plans for and facilitates Weekly Safety Meetings; oversees completion of Safety-related projects.
