  • Associate Product Manager

    Feb 7, 2017

    Position Summary

    Responsible for both product planning and product marketing.  This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with product engineering, to deliver winning products. It also includes working with sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Associate Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals.

    Principal Responsibilities

    • Develop product opportunities
    • Manage Gantt chart process to ensure deadlines are met
    • Specifies customer driven market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by product engineers and customer input.
    • Be an expert with respect to the competition.
    • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product.
    • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities.
    • Develop and manage beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples.
    • Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals.
    • Deliver an annual revenue, profitability and asset plan by product line.
    • Train sales and marketing organization on new and existing products.
    • Keeps management informed of area activities and any significant problems or concerns.              
    • Completes special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
    • Occasional Travel Required
    • Contributes to the development of sales tools and collateral materials.
    • Contributes to and participates in trade show support and representation when needed
    • Contributes to company e-commerce and product catalog support and management.

    Position Summary

    Responsible for managing assigned supplier base and meeting or exceeding documented performance goals including delivery, quality, inventory turns and cost reduction targets.

    Principle Responsibilities

    • Locate, qualify and integrate suppliers into operations. 
    • Conducts supplier site visits as required including domestic and international travel. 
    • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure highest quality, lowest cost, competitive lead time, and minimal inventory investment.
    • Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems or concerns.           
    • Performs other duties as required.  
    • Completes daily purchases based on preplanned inventory and service goals.
    • Troubleshoots issues as they arise related to the purchasing function.
    • Expedites materials based on changing demand and/or vendor performance.
    • Maintains item database including current unit costs, list prices, supplier information and item master data.
    • Reviews/corrects invoices with accounts payable as needed.
    • Participates in programs to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
    • Participates in continuous process improvement.

    Position Summary

    Responsible for increasing sales and meeting sales goals through marketing efforts while building relationships with new and existing customers.  

    Principle Responsibilities 

    • Prospecting for new customers
    • Achieve set goals by increasing the sales and product scope of existing customers
    • Maintains accurate and current information on all accounts and computer lists
    • Work with and assist Outside Sales to increase sales in specified territory.
    • Must develop and maintain strong product knowledge and understanding of industry processes.
    • Ensures that customer needs are satisfied through the visibility of new products, pricing, and accessibility
    • Resolves customer requests, complaints, and problems
    • Promotes goodwill and conveys a positive image of the Company
