Question:
I've heard before that your plates are interchangeable; what does this mean?
Answer:
Each side of our Mold plates have a precision ground finish, enabling us to provide our customers with a plate they can use in almost any Mold Base under any circumstance. If you need a new plate for any reason whatsoever, at any time down the road... You can call us and have a new plate shipped out right away.
PCS can also complete special machining on specific plates as long as we have a file to quote from. This has been a benefit to many of our customers in the past. For example, if in the unfortunate event a plate is scrapped or just needs to be replaced, a customer can send us a file, we can machine the plate, and ship a replacement within 3-5 days (depending on the machine work involved) which can then be placed into the mold.

Question:
Your standard Guided Ejection is installed in the Bottom Clamp plate of your molds. I'd like the pins installed into the Support plate instead. The locations are still ok; I'd just prefer it from the other direction. What type of delivery can I expect for a modification like this?
Answer:
Installing GE in the Support plate will take only 2-3 work days to ship. Specify on your PO or quote request what your preference is and PCS will quote and/or machine to your requirements.

Question:
Answer: Preferred 3D files formats include: 1. Para solid (.x_t) 2. STEP (.stp) 3. IGES (.igs)
2D files can be AutoCAD

useful and appreciated. Providing both 2D and 3D
files increases quote and order turn around and lead-times. PCS also requests final CAD data confirmation with each order, to insure customer satisfaction and accuracy.
